October 31 - Halloween

Trick or treat. Look at all of us, we are so happy. Mommy and grandma spent the day at the Michael Jackson movie and they saw people dressed up as Michael and his entourage they giggled so much when they came home and told us about it.

October 30 - Aunt Emily came to visit and I went to a Halloween Parade

I had a blast tonight because Aunt Emily took extra time to drive and come and see me. I heard that tomorrow there is this thing that big people do. They go from one house to another and say "trick or treat" it really makes no sense to me. Why don't they just ask nicely if they can have some candy. Anyway, tomorrow, I get to get all dressed up!!! I am so excited. Mommy and grandma Wheeler are going to go and watch a movie about Michael Jackson and daddy is going to hang out with grandpa Wheeler. I cannot imagine all of the great costumes I am going to see.

October 28 - I am 14 weeks old

October 23 - All day at Cheri's today

Mommy and grandma decided that they needed some girl time with Sharon and Kaitlyn. Guess that means that I get to spend the day with Cheri and all of the kids. I had so much fun. It made me feel so good that mommy got to have some special time with grandma. This weekend, grandma and grandpa are going to bunches of football games. They said I cannot go this year, but next year...oh baby I will be tailgating with the world.

October 22 - I am 3 months old today

My mommy said I didn't get to have a super big birthday cake today. That made me really sad. So instead of cake I showed my mommy that I could eat my fist for a really long time. It is so much fun to stick my fist in my mouth. If I do it with a smile, my mommy giggles really big. It is so much fun.

Also today, I had more company grandma and grandpa Cody came to have a fun weekend with their friends and football.

October 21 - Mommy went to the doctor. I'm 13 weeks old

It was mommy's turn to go to the doctor today. She had to get something called an allergy shot. It didn't look like too much fun, but I had fun having the nurses holding me. I am 13 weeks old, yippee. Tomorrow is my 3 month birthday - sweet. I wonder if I will get to eat something super yummy.

October 19 - Lunch date with Daddy

Today my mommy too me to see daddy. It was a fun date, but mommy and daddy were both so tired they couldn't even talk during the meal. I would have to say there were many other kiddos my age around, but they were sleeping. You know I don't believe in taking naps. After we left mommy took me to the doctor, we decided to take me off of the prevacid because it really didn't make a difference. I now weigh 11 pounds 10 ounces.

Later that night it was a crazy world in our house. "Uncle" Chris came up stairs saying "do you guys smell something" well, turned out that the sewer backed up in the brand new basement. So I was really sad the brand new carpet had to be torn up. Chis and Daddy were up really late at night using a really loud vaccum to clean it all up. But whooo whooo it did smell.

October 18, 2009 - A day to honor my great grandma, and my new toys

I am really sad that I did not get to know my great grandma Napolitano. But everyone tells me she was the coolest lady ever. I bet she was. Mommy and daddy said that one year ago this weekend they were in Wyoming saying goodbye to great grandma. They told me she went to go meet Jesus. Which I think that is pretty cool. Great grandma was very excited to hear that mommy and daddy were going to try to have kids soon. She told mommy and daddy to go have babies. I guess that they also sang granny's in the cellar. Mommy told me she is going to teach me that song. My mommy had lots of stories about great grandma. She said she would go to Wyoming to visit her and great grandpa every year and they would go shopping together on Gillette Avenue.  Mommy wants to take me to South Dakota so she can take me where her grandma  took her. They had so much fun together. I think I might get some of my love of singing from her too. Great grandma was always singing. And she taught my grandma and mommy to love the Lord, to know that they are a strong woman, and to know they come from good stock. Mommy also said she was really good at Spoons. I have no idea what in  the world mommy is talking about, but I bet I will learn sometime soon.

October 17, 2009 - Shopping with the girls and eating mommy's chin

Today was a fun day for everyone. My grandpa Chuck was silly and he decided to run 26.2 miles. I really don't know why he did it, but I think he is silly. But I told him next time if he want's to take me along he can. Daddy went downtown to watch him finish and I went shopping with mom, grandma Paula, Nikki, Carol, and Darcie. It was so much fun, I fell asleep. Mommy said I won't always fall asleep shopping but maybe for now it is ok. After shopping, I came home and there was daddy, grandpa and grandma Wheeler, two of their friends, Emily, and Dan. I just love seeing everyone. They make me smile. I was totally showing them all of my new signing and stuff that I can do. When they saw me smile, it made them smile and then I smiled again. It was a really fun game that we were playing.

Later that night, we went over to Mike and Darcie's for dinner. I really wanted to try what mommy and daddy were eating, so guess what I did...I chewed on mommy's cheek. It was so yummy. And when I did it, it made mommy laugh so hard water came out of her eyes. I have to do that more often.

October 15, 2009 - Night with Grandma and Grandpa

Don't my daddy and I look the same in this picture

Tonight, my mom, dad, Aunt Emily, and Dan went out to dinner and to a play. Guess what that meant!!! I got to stay with grandma and grandpa. It was so much fun. We played games, my great-grandparents came over to visit. And all eyes were on me. I was really happy to see mommy and daddy come back but they were having so much fun over in Independence that we stayed the night. Now when we woke up, mommy and I were heading to another consignment sale, and guess what...she forgot my bottles. I was not happy, but I held my anger inside and only let her know for a little bit that I was not happy with her. And when we got home my other grandma was there. Wow, what a day.

October 13, 2009 - I am 12 Weeks old today - I love West Wing

So my mommy says that I am 12 weeks old today. She is so excited, she thought I should finally start wearing these headband things. I kinda dig them, they are cool, but they get in my way when I am throwing my hands around.  I am really starting to put everything in my mouth that I can grab. It is so fun. I have not figured out how to get my thumb in my mouth, but my fist and toys are perfect for me to chew on.

My mommy and my "Uncle" Chris have been watching West Wing this week. Wow, that is one awesome show. We started all the way at the beginning at season one. Mommy's favorite is Sam (Rob Lowe) Chris is torn between Sam and Josh (Bradley Whitford). I love hearing them giggle. Mommy says Chris will be POTUS someday, and I learned today that means "President of the United States."

October 12, 2009 - Daddy's Home...more pictures

October 11, 2009 - Lots of sleep but no lights

I did it again!!! We had a long road trip, and I slept the entire way. Mommy and daddy were so excited that couldn't even handle it. They were jumping up and down when we got home. They don't know it but I was totally watching them with my eyes closed. When we finally made it back to Olathe, we got to hang out with Chris, we had so much fun. Then all of the sudden we heard a big boom....Everything went dark, I felt like I was in mommy's tummy all over again, but I wasn't. It was a strange feeling. But I loved it, kinda. The best part was mom and dad gave me a bath in the candle light.

October 10 - My Trip To Great Bend

4 Generations
Mommy,Great-grandma Vink, and Grandpa Vink

Carol, Nikki, grandma

mommy, Grandma, and Great-grandma

Daddy, mommy, great-grandma Vink, Grandma and Grandpa Vink

The blanket Aunt Sandy made for me

Wow, this was one awesome weekend. Mommy and daddy said we were going to go and meet all of my Napolitano and Vink family. I guess that means there are alot of people who have not met me yet. Well, the only issue is that there is going to be a car ride in my future. We left Olathe around 6:30 and within 20 minutes I had already went #2, so we had to stop and change me. Then I decided a nap was the best way to pass the time. But I saw all of the pretty lights of Topeka, and I woke right up. Mommy and Daddy took me to the Hyatt Place hotel and we spent an hour there eating and watching baseball. (They said I was screaming just a little bit).

After awhile, we made it to Ellinwood it was awesome. I hung out in the basement and the next morning we were off to see Great-Grandma Vink, Aunt Sandy, Uncle Terry and Uncle Craig, and Cousin Jessica. I loved seeing my Great-Grandma, she held me and loved on me. I told her I loved her too. She reminded me that I am named after her and my great-grandpa. Then all of the sudden Grandma Paula came to see me. She then introduced me to my Uncle Mike, Aunt Marla, and Uncle Phil. They were so much fun. Mommy and daddy went to go get a couples massage while I hung out with Grandma.

It was time for our Baby Shower. Oh my goodness there were so many nice people there. Great-great Aunt Maragret, Aunt Marla, Cousin Katrina, Cousin Jessica, Aunt Kim, Aunt Sandy, Nikki, Carol, Aunt Lyndsae, my mommy's childhood friend Shannon, Cousin Dawn, Grandma Paula, Grandma Cindy, and Great Grandma Vink. We had so much fun, but I decided I would cry during it so my daddy came to the rescue and wrapped me up for a nap. It was fun listening to all of the stories grandma Paula and Aunt Marla told about my mommy and cousin Katrina. It turns out Cousin Katrina's tummy hurt alot when she was a baby also, maybe my mommy can find the same medicine that helped her for my tight tummy.

October 8 - We went to mommy's work today

Yesterday we went to mommy's old school, and today we went to her new school, Timber Creek Elementary. It was so much fun seeing everyone. I saw "Aunt" Ginny and "Aunt" Sara, they are the best people ever, I love them! Mommy's classroom is alot of fun, they played my favorite song, the "Hello Song."

October 7 - I am 11 Weeks Old

Today was a really big day for me. Not only am I 11 weeks old, but my mommy took me to Liberty View. It was so much fun. I got to see where mommy used to work. We strolled in and it was so peaceful. I love it there. I remember all of the times I was in mommy's tummy tossing and turning because I wanted to play with all of the kids. It was a blast we saw all of mommy's teacher friends, students, and so many big people. I loved it!!!!

October 3, 2009 - Grandpa and Grandma Vink are coming

I heard that today I was the perfect baby. Grandpa Vink, daddy, mommy, and Uncle Gavin and I went to the BBQ store, Dicks Sporting Goods, and to Celebrities to eat lunch. It was a fun filled morning. When we got back home, I took all of the naps mommy likes me to take, a morning nap and afternoon nap and an early evening nap. I have to say, I woke up because I smelt daddy making ribs and mommy making salsa. Grandma and grandpa loved holding me. I am so lucky, I have so many people around me that just love to snuggle.

October 2, 2009 - A West Wing morning

Another wonderful morning, mommy and I got up and watched “The West Wing” mommy keeps thinking I may start to like politics since my brain is really taking in a lot right about now. I told her I just like to hear all of the different voices. We have been practicing rolling from my side to my back, it is way fun. I am still not a fan of tummy time, but when we do yoga I love to do the super baby pose, and that is enough tummy time for me. Mommy always used to tell everyone how important tummy time is, so she better start getting me on my tummy more often. Tonight, grandma and grandpa Vink and uncle Gavin are coming to see me. I cannot wait to see them!!!

September 29 & 30- I got my shots and my daddy stayed home!

September 27, 2009 - I slept for Grandma

I am the best granddaughter every. Last night, grandma Paula has night-time duty for me, and guess what I did? I slept until 5 in the morning. How good of a kiddo am I. After I woke up mom and dad went and rode George and Carolyn’s jet ski. It is a really fast boat thing. Someday I will get to ride one of those daddy said. Once they finally got done we all went on the big boat. Man, I love that thing. The wind blowing in my hair and the sounds of the water, there is nothing better. It was time for us to leave again, and that meant another road trip again. This time, I was so very tired. Daddy fed me right before we left grandma and grandpa’s house. As we went through Miami I was asleep and guess what I did, I slept the entire trip. My mommy and daddy were so proud of me. They said it was as special as the day I take my first steps.

September 26 - My First Parade

September 25, 2009 - Lake Bound again

Grandma Cody is here today, you know what that means…I get to go back to the lake, wear my super cool life jacket, and ride the boat and spend time with Mallie. I am so pumped. Mommy had to go to another doctor’s appointment for her gall bladder. She was not too happy she couldn’t eat until 2:00 pm, I guess that is a really long time. My mommy also noticed that my tongue doesn’t have any white stuff on it anymore. I told her it was because of the “Simply Thick.”  Ok, we are on our way to the lake, road trips are not my favorite, but I promise I will get better.  I did pretty good on the trip, mommy and grandma stopped at Wal-Mart in Fort Scott and fed me while we shopped. That was quite fun, shopping and eating in one stop…sweet. Mallie and Grandpa Dale were so excited to see me, they gave me big hugs. Mallie and I played on the floor, she would lay by my play mat and I would kick her back – it was way too much fun.

September 24, 2009 - Out to dinner

Tonight, “Uncle” Chris cooked dinner for mommy and daddy. It was super yummy, I could smell it all throughout the house. It was a big day for my tummy. The medicine mommy and daddy had me taking has been helping, but only for about 8 hours - and I am still making mommy do a load of laundry a day just in burp clothes. So “Aunt” Darcie reminded my mommy of when she used to teach itty bitty kids that they used “Simply Thick” “Aunt” Darcie saw Marcy give it to her kiddos. It makes my formula really thick so it stays in my tummy. I love it,  I don’t have near as much food coming up my throat, it is so much better.

September 23, I am 9 Weeks Old

September 22, 2009 - I am 2 months old!!

September 20, 2009 - I went to Church today

Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. It was my first day at church, it was so neat. Grandma and grandpa Wheeler took me to where Daddy grew up, Calvary Baptist. Mom and dad went to the Chiefs game, and I was praying for them the entire time. They even voted on a new pastor today, I tried to raise my hand but I couldn’t get it to where the tall man counting could see me. I like this Pastor Scott guy, he was real interesting to listen to. Nobody tell him I listened with my eyes closed.

September 19, 2009 - I have a new bedroom

Mommy and daddy are really busy today. Mom was determined to get her house cleaned. And well, I love my mommy so it is hard when it is just the two of us for her to get the house organized and cleaned because we are too busy having fun together. So grandma and grandpa Wheeler came over so mommy and daddy could clean the house and make my room all perfect. WOW, I love my new room, they made it so pretty. Mommy said grandpa Vink’s store made the beautiful stickers that they put on the walls. It is such a cozy room. After everything was finished, daddy grilled food and grandma and grandpa Wheeler stayed over for dinner. The plan was for all of us to go to Independence and stay the night because mommy and daddy were going to go to the Chiefs game in the morning, but they decided that I needed to sleep in my own bed. So we said goodbye to grandma and grandpa and I went to sleep.

September 18, 2009 - Mommy has to work

It was a really big day for mommy, she got to go into work today to interview people for her classroom. She loves spending time with me, but I could tell she was happy to see all of her friends. So I went to see Miss Cheri, I really like her. She holds me abunch and rocks me…it was a blast. I am excited to see her every day when mommy goes back to work.

September 17, 2009 - Diapers Galore

Diapers diapers diapers, mommy and daddy did this diaper study thing. It was pretty cool, they got free diapers but every time I went poop or pee they had to fill out this paper and then keep the diapers. Today was the big day we had to take all of the diapers back. They sure did make my room smell bad, yuck. After we took them back, mommy took me to Gardner and we went walking with “Aunt” Darcie.

September 16 - 8 Weeks Old!!!

Yippee, mommy gave me this yummy tasting stuff to help my reflux. Wow, it was so great I could tell right away that my tummy was feeling so much better. And guess what, I slept so well that night it was perfect! I didn’t want to tell mommy but it doesn’t last all day, but when it works it works great
